We Bet You Didn’t Know How Bad These Things Were For You

We all like to live a full life and we don’t like to be told we can’t do things. Or, that certain foods are bad for our health. Or that we shouldn’t play with matches! You get the idea. But the fact is there are a lot of things in this world that can damage our health. If you don’t watch out you might make it to your twilight years, but you’ll be in constant pain. Let’s look at some of the biggest threats to our health we probably never realised were that serious.

Stressful Situations

We’re sure you know that stress is bad for you. But do you know just how bad? For instance, do you realise that stress can cause both mental and physical symptoms? Particularly if it isn’t dealt with for a long period of time. It’s true and if you don’t believe us, you should think about emotional distress. Can you ever sue for emotional stress? You can, but you have to show that it has had a negative impact on your health. The only way to do this is to take a trip to the doctors. They will have a look and see if you have symptoms such as high blood pressure. If you have, you will have a good chance of winning your case. But stress can do anything from making you feel ill to making your hair fall out.


What on earth is teflon, we hear you ask. Teflon is actually just a substance we imagine most people have in their kitchens. You’ll find it on pots and pans so that substances don’t stick to the bottom. We’ve never seen it work when we’re cooking but we’re assured it’s there. But teflon can be quite harmful. If it’s heated to extreme temperatures, it will produce a toxic chemical. This chemical is deadly to some small animals and harmful to humans. Still as long as the chilli doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan, it’s all good.


Okay, it’s unfair to single out Disney here but we’re just having some fun. In particular, we’re talking about theme parks and more specifically roller coasters. Who doesn’t love a good roller coaster, rocketing us through the air at breathtaking speeds. We sure do. But maybe we shouldn’t because most roller coasters are dangerous. We’re not talking about the recent tragedies that occurred in the UK either. Riding rollercoasters can lead to the development of back problems or even head trauma. There have also been cases of people dying of a heart attack after riding them. These victims had no past record of heart problems.




What? Exercise is bad for you? Surely you mean a lack of exercise, don’t you. Certain types of exercise like jogging can have a serious negative impact on your health that you won’t see until your later years. If you run every day, you’re not making your legs stronger, you’re making them weaker. Your joints and bones are being worked on and this has been known to lead to the development of arthritis. So, next time you think about jogging you might want to go for a swim instead.

You might not think any of these issues will ever affect you. But you’d be surprised how vulnerable the human body actually is.
