In Lieu Of
I’ve been really sick. Long story, but basically the doctors think I have some kind of staph infection, maybe MRSA, which has compromised my immune system. I am trying really hard to get healthy, but I am exhausted.
So, in lieu of a real post, I give you this picture:

I’m sorry you’re having such a rough go. You know what you need? Sunshine and heat. You need to feel the warm sun on your bare arms and face. I think Houston might have some warmth and sun.
I’m thinking of you and willing you to get better.

I never comment but on this I have too! I looked at your flicker page and your medicine pic looks like the top of my dresser! For me it started with an infection on my finger, apparently I had a teeny cut I had no idea about- it took over a month to clear it up, 4 antibiotics plus a topical one, mupirocin just like yours. The culture said it was strep but the docs ended up using staph drugs to kill it. Not long after I developed a raging sinus infection (in spite of my frequent use of a neti pot) and was given azithromycin which my infection turned out to be resistant too. It actually became worse on it. Now I am on clarithromycin. Which I was on when I had “strep finger”. I have ulcerative colitis (an autoimmune disease) and fibromyalgia and now my doctor is very concerned about my immune system because I have had such a difficult time with antibiotics working. Not that you probably care to read any of this and I’m not sure why I am spilling all this info, it just seemed strange to me that someone has been going through something so similar to what I am going through. I know how horrible I feel and how hard it is to go to work everyday, I can’t imagine having a toddler and dealing with this. I hope you are better soon!
Also- your daughter is so beautiful.

Oh bless your heart! I have never had MRSA, but I had a staph infection once, and it was terrible. I can only imagine what MRSA must be like. I hope you were able to make it to your trip to Houston!
